Slide 8 of the example: revenue 33,000, variable costs 4,800, fixed costs 7,500, 20,700 left before the owner’s pay and tax, break-even about 160 grooms Enlarge preview: Completed example

Every claim is marked as checked (with its source and date), from experience, or still to test; figures agree from slide to slide; nothing is invented to look impressive — no interviews, logos, testimonials, market sizes or traction.

Common questions

Who is this pitch deck for?

A local or small business presenting to a bank, a business-support panel, a landlord or a partner. It covers what they need to decide — the problem, the offer, the evidence, the money and the ask — without venture-capital metrics a local business does not need.

Can I edit everything?

Yes. Every slide is built from ordinary text boxes and shapes, not pictures. Click a [bracketed prompt] and type over it; text that runs longer than planned shrinks to fit its box. Delete the optional funding slide if you are not asking for money.

How should I handle evidence?

Mark each claim as checked (with where and when), based on experience, or still to test. Do not invent interviews, testimonials, customer logos, market sizes or traction — a smaller honest claim is more convincing than a big unsupported one.

Do the figures have to match?

Yes, and the example shows how: 600 grooms × 55 = 33,000 revenue on slides 6 and 8; 33,000 − 4,800 − 7,500 = 20,700; the uses of funds add up to the 10,000 total and the 4,000 asked for.

Which apps does it work in?

It is a standard .pptx file using Cambria and Calibri. We built it to the PowerPoint file format and checked it in LibreOffice Impress, including replacing text and deleting a slide. We have not opened it in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
