The funnel formulas
Visitor → lead = (Leads ÷ Visitors) × 100Lead → booking = (Bookings ÷ Leads) × 100Booking → customer = (Customers ÷ Bookings) × 100Revenue = Customers × Average customer valueExample calculation
From 5,000 visitors you get 250 leads (5%), 100 bookings (40% of leads) and 40 customers (40% of bookings). At $600 per customer that is $24,000 in revenue, and the visitor-to-lead step is your weakest link.
What your result means
The weakest stage is where to focus first. A low visitor-to-lead rate points to your offer or landing page; a low booking-to-customer rate points to sales follow-up or pricing.
Common mistakes
- Pouring more traffic into a funnel that leaks badly downstream.
- Optimising a strong stage while ignoring the weak one.
- Using mismatched time periods for each stage's numbers.
The number tells you where you are. Not what to do next.
Spotting the leak is the start — fixing it week by week is where growth comes from.
Cleverlio decides what your business should do this week and writes the work — the posts, the messages, the website copy. You review it and publish it yourself.

What is a marketing funnel?
A funnel is the path people take from first visit to paying customer — visitor, lead, booking, customer. At each step some people drop off, so the funnel narrows as it goes.
How does the funnel conversion calculator work?
It takes the count at each stage and works out the conversion rate between steps, then highlights the stage with the lowest conversion — your biggest leak and best opportunity.
Why focus on the weakest funnel stage?
The weakest stage caps everything downstream. Fixing your worst conversion step usually produces a bigger result than improving a step that already performs well.
What if one stage shows 0%?
A 0% stage means no one made it through that step, or you have not entered data for it. Check your numbers — a true 0% is the most urgent leak to fix.
How often should I review my funnel?
Monthly is a good rhythm for most small businesses. Review more often when running campaigns or after making changes, so you can see the effect on each stage.
