Client Intake & Discovery Pack

Understand the work before you price it. Send prospective customers a short questionnaire about what they want and why, then use the discovery worksheet to record the call — scope, priorities, decision makers, dates, open questions and next steps. Both come blank and as two completed examples.

How to use the pack

  1. After the first enquiry, send the questionnaire. Delete questions that do not fit.
  2. On the call, work through the discovery worksheet, starting from their answers.
  3. Before you quote, check every question is answered or owned, and send what you agreed as next steps.

Common questions

How is this different from the welcome and onboarding pack?

This pack comes first: it helps you understand the work before anything is agreed, so you can quote or propose accurately. The welcome pack starts work the customer has already agreed to.

Should I ask about budget?

Where it helps you suggest the right option, yes — the questionnaire makes it optional, and the worksheet records “not discussed” rather than a guess.

Can the prospect see my notes?

Only if you send them. The questionnaire is written for the prospect; your assessment and internal notes go in the discovery worksheet, which carries an “Internal” header on every page.
